@dusteh Some of them run a bot indicating the current version.

E.g., https://mastodon.cloud/@MastodonCloudBot

@dusteh There's no version number in the HTML that I find. Or on instance info pages.

@dusteh Dustin - did you get a valid answer for how to tell what version you're hitting? Just curious...

@SlackerAtBest I got a answer from @dredmorbius that if you look at mastodon.cloud/@MastodonCloudBot you can see instance statistics such as which git hash we're running under
