@Applica What's the series in your Avatar? It looks great!
@TapiOh Aikatsu! It's very girly and also for children but I absolutely love it and the characters and the girl bonding (i am so gay)
@Applica Oh! Yes! Aikatsu! I've heard of Aikatsu. Excellent. I'm going to go check that out soon.

@TapiOh I know this might be intimidating to say but "if you are serious about watching it please give it at least 20 episodes"

the show has 178 episodes and a movie

@Applica Totally! Yeah, that's definitely doable. At this point I've given Kamen Rider more than 150 episodes. I'm pretty used to doing that. Hahaha.
@Applica Kids shows are usually pretty easy time sinks. I find anime that is long but also purposefully dense the hardest thing to stay latched onto.
@Applica I've spent the last... oh, I don't know, 3 years of my life trying to sit through Monogatari and then vowing to never watch Monogatari again... and then trying to sit through it another time.
@Applica Though, density isn't the most challenging aspect of that series.
@TapiOh oof. I think I had a similar experience not with an anime but with a game. i literally cannot complete chrono trigger i have given it three chances
@Applica Oh, I'm worse with games. It took 12 tries for me to get through Dark Souls 3.
@TapiOh w-w-wow
@Applica It was like a self-parody, I was spurred on by feeling like I had to "Git Gud" which is a mentality I actively despise.
@TapiOh i am truly sorry. i hope someday we can both learn to someday just put away games we aren't enjoying and not worry about the fact that we did
@Applica Yes, yes, I would love to get better about that.
@Applica And I haven't dared to try Chrono Trigger, FF 6 or the like.
@TapiOh i have an intense burning dislike of the ATB system in RPGs
@Applica Me toooooo, I've never felt the same nostalgia for that era of JRPG design as some others do.

@TapiOh I think the longest thing i've watched comparatively was hxh and that definitely felt like it dragged on a lot at certain points.

monster was pretty long too but that was sort of it's own deal and i liked it anyway
