I tried to watch Independence Day Resurgence hoping it'd be the enjoyable kind of bad movie. Didn't make it more than 10 minutes.

I don't care what genre a movie is, "summer blockbuster" doesn't excuse you from being terrible. Do your job, writers and directors. Not this lazy crap.

What I saw of the special effects was impressive, so kudos to those artists. Sorry you got hitched to a crap movie, but good work.

@pseudomichael Agreed, although I was able to make it through the entire movie. For some reason I felt I needed to give it a complete watch. A bad appetizer doesn't mean the the entire meal will be bad...so I stick it through to dessert. Unfortunately, my strategy rarely pays off. I have eaten a lot of poor meals and seen a lot of bad movies. Sigh.
