@Enkerli Thanks! I am not very familiar with the work of Matt Ratto, I will look into it in more detail, thanks. The practice of Critical Making is, for me, associated to the name of Garnet Hertz and others. In any case we live at a time in which it no longer makes sense to prototype, develop or adopt technology without any critical discernment, so I consider it essential to expose younger generations to these views.
@zilog Fully agreed! There's a fair amount of hype in the Maker scene, lot of enthusiasm. But relatively few people take a step back and really delve through issues of #TechnologicalAppropriation or really distill any insight from observing and participating in these practices.
You were talking about building bridges. Wishing my role to be similar. Been working with the nonprofit which founded the first #FabLab in Canada. Now trying to connect #Makers in diverse places.
