Heh....y'know, it occurs to me - we're likely -not- to see some of the nastier irritants on mastodon compared to birdsite - there's no real impetus to add in click fraud for ad impressions, so that motivation for bot traffic is pretty much nonexistent.

And if follower count remains somewhat opaque between instances, ego-boosting via fake followers is not likely to happen either.

There's some rather interesting implications amongst all this, aren't there?

@munin @da_667 I still have a few people over there that I check in, but it's been so few check ins, I don't even have a tab open for it right now which I normally have open all the time. Feels both weird and nice.

And oddly enough, I've had several people explicitly say they'd rather have -me- administer an instance than anyone else. Kind of flattering that they have that kind of confidence in me :-)
