HenriOnly big critique I have right now, is that this platform is clearly attempting to feel like Twitter, but removes a lot of what made Twitter so nice in the first place. I mean for starters it lets me make these huge posts, and i'm absolutely certain this is going to be too long for most people to bother reading, or get the general idea at just a glance.
Due to the format I can see people are gravitating towards twitter style short posts, and not ranting on and on, but that will change.
Del@pixhammer Oh I've seen loads of long rants, and seen some people admitting that they're making short posts because that's what they're used to. :)
inmysocks Of Doom, Naked KSC@pixhammer There are plenty of long posts when people have more to say. And remember this is built on top of GNU social, some of the servers allow very long posts. I think 10,000 characters is the longest.
Sean S. LeBlanc@pixhammer I've noticed that a few people found you can just spam line breaks and take up all the space on the timeline, so I wouldn't be surprised if they end up truncating long toots until you click them.
@SeanSLeBlanc Yeah a nice solution would be to only use the first 140 chars for the timeline, then show full text on clicking.
