@Gargron @yetanotherjess Besides, it would add a unique element of crafting toots that let you can get the message across briefly, before expanding on what you said in the expanded version.
Heyy @Gargron, i've got some feedback. To prevent people ranting and to keep the twitter mentatlity of short dense messages, could you consider the possibility of truncating the message content after the first 140 characters until expanded? Large long messages like this are difficult to get through quickly, and was a part of what made Twitter great in the first place. I do like the longer format, but it would be nice to encourage shorter denser content to make my experience more fluid.
Who do I point feedback to?
Due to the format I can see people are gravitating towards twitter style short posts, and not ranting on and on, but that will change.
Only big critique I have right now, is that this platform is clearly attempting to feel like Twitter, but removes a lot of what made Twitter so nice in the first place. I mean for starters it lets me make these huge posts, and i'm absolutely certain this is going to be too long for most people to bother reading, or get the general idea at just a glance.
Oh damn this platform is classy, we've GIF avatars and everything.
