Around about the same time, my X key and my Windows hotkeys stopped working on my keyboard. I've tried reboot. Tried Safe Mode. Looked at a lot of settings. On Dell Inspiron 17, Windows 10.
Any ideas?

@Bull had a similar thing with shift w on another keyboard. turned out a function key was stuck. losing it solved everything. maybe you have some such key somewhere?

@Bull I would suggest installing Linux but that rarely, if ever, solves world hunger

@Bull don't suppose you're using an Insider build? I lost my brightness keys for a while on the slow ring.
