OJ 🧗@0xbc Distributed and Federated are indeed different things. There valid points in there for sure. I would much prefer to see a truly distributed option, but I don't think it's as simple as implied in that article.
james@0xbc this person has some strong opinions, but they add up to the "n + 1 competing standards" take. The community has successfully pushed the featureset to places not on other services and fortunately with the scaling we are also getting more people who know their shit, and people willing to help organize. The architecture will need some revision to support certain features better - but there is some vision and momentum here and it could keep building.
