BenI'm not convinced Mastodon should allow editing... it's a harder problem to solve then it seems. What happens if you edit a post 5,000 people have boosted and change the message to something they don't agree with?
Paul Phillips ✅@randomhappening Immutable edits. You can update to your preferred message content, but any updated message also carries its history around and anyone can see that. Some people will still try to exploit the system, but with the history readily available it's an annoyance at worst.
