Wow, this slider-based difficulty tuning accessibility option is the dream I've had for all games! As my functions deteriorate I *need* this https://t.co/KafjKgJ37Z

I want to shout this to the world, particularly the part about cognitive/reflex differences. I've been so frustrated playing Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which I was really looking forward to, partially because Naughty Dog has been really good about accessibility but this game's taken a big step back, padding itself with unskippable, complicated multi-step logic puzzles. I was stuck on one for an hour trying to follow a YouTube solution video, failing, only to be met with an even harder one next.
The worst part is that, having removed the 'skip puzzle' prompt, they replaced it with a 'hint' QTE that I DIDN'T HAVE THE REFLEXES TO ACTIVATE and could not summon once it dismissed itself. But spoiler: even reminding me of a puzzle's rules cannot make me capable of solving it. My frontal lobe is half-dead, why'd you turn your interactive lady adventurer globe trip movie into Myst But With Sarcastic Shaming Quips
Actual-worst part: I know WHY they did it; to 'evolve' a series derided for linearity, and inflate completion time so they could charge a return-on-investment price. Thing is, it costs $0 and even less time to watch a longplay, so how about since I actually bought it you just let me skip the bits I don't wanna do (puzzles, shooting so many dudes) so I can enjoy the literal power fantasy (what if I could climb and jump and swim and see the world and banter with Strong "Diverse" Female Characters)

And yes I am aware they still did a heck of a job with fewer resources and a team of whomever they didn't need for upcoming septuple-A sequel I Guess That Wasn't The Last Of Us After All

It's just... I want to like games but I don't wanna add another thing to the list of interests I "used to" (be able to) have, and, if the easiest games get too hard I'll end up hurting myself even more trying to wheel this silly body ""outside"" where adventures don't have save points

@kelly This is such a neat idea! Also just in general it's a great concept for a game. :D
@Nine right?! It's so clever! I've always liked the idea of parry/counter/cancel mechanics but they tend to be in very demanding games my reflexes just aren't up to. Also this is a good way to handle the modern reality of never knowing how much lag a player's gaming setup will introduce to an action game. Brawlers are easily understood (that's why they were so popular!)... it would also be cool to have per-player settings so co-op partners could have an equal challenge relative to their ability.
