I've been getting like 5-10 robocalls per day since I arrived in France. Based on this article, it seems the reason may be that my American carrier (T-Mobile) is better than my French one (Orange) at blocking spammers: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/11/smarter-living/stop-robocalls.html

@nolan I rarely ever get those (<10 / year) and I've been in France all my life 🤔 Is your phone number public ? Are those hidden numbers ?

@marsup They're all hidden numbers and no it's not public AFAIK. Note this is an American number roaming in France tho

@nolan Can't say I've experienced bringing back a foreign SIM card here but I haven't heard of stories like that. Maybe see if your phone can block unidentified callers or use an app for it, normal people don't usually hide their number so you won't miss much.
