Sad to see that Mastodon has still failed to mature as a platform and lacks **many** good features. I think its obvious Mastodon's social growth is highly constrained and won't appeal to a wider audience. Think it's time for me to take my leave from here.
@ikey I can't say I disagree with you. I was hoping for something a bit different from the common place big social networks. Since this platform is based around the GNU social and OStatus protocols, it seems a good portion of people have their lips surgically attached to RMS' ass. That is what bothers me the most about this service. While I do believe Mastodon will grow and features will be added over time, people like us will be more inclined to using the big social platforms we are used to.
@ikey I think same... but Mastodon creates a new frontier on my Social Media... Can't say your opinion not is real, While I do believe Mastodon will grow and new features will be added over time... I hope
@ikey I think you might be right, but I am not ready to give up on it yet.๐Ÿ˜‰
@ikey I concur. I'll be on Fidonet if anyone needs me. ;-)
Back to Diaspora is it then, @ikey? In all seriousness, I can understand your feelings. It would seem the initial growth that Mastodon enjoyed has stalled alongside its development. It's hard to convince family members to switch from Facebook or Twitter without certain expected features.

@ikey Care to elaborate? I am still enjoying it and I'm not sure what other features I would want.

Either way, giving up on it or any other project after a few months is definitely not going to help.

@ikey Constrained social growth I think is one of it's strengths. So it won't appeal to a wider audience. Neither does Google+. It's certainly a lot less noisy here than Twitter is.
@ikey Please come back Ikey!
