Thread.

@ceejbot oh nice - my route was somewhat different but time elapsed was equal
@munin I'd have saved a lot of time if I were willing to use Docker, I guess.
@ceejbot I tried docker. it did not want to cooperate with my oldschool sysadmin style
@munin @ceejbot I've had some luck with Docker testing but not production yet. Other parts of $currentclient using it ok. But a friend (Cory Quinn / Twitter @quinnypig ) is world famous docker skeptic.
@ceejbot In my case I have my own dns server so I could allocate a subdomain quickly
@ceejbot so you can migrate your account from one server to the next? Does your hostname play a part in the federation?
@ceejbot it totally does - sorry I rtfm'd :disappointed_relieved:
@reconbot @ceejbot you can't migrate accounts, but there's a discussion about it: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/177
@ceejbot I found your comments on Docker-as-a-package-manager-replacement especially topical. 9001% agreed.
@ceejbot $300 a month.. ehh 😑
