#introductions

hey! i'm grey, some enby kid from texas that codes for a living and hangs out on the Rust (programming language) IRC. i have some stuff on github https://github.com/QuietMisdreavus

i listen to a lot of music, from several niches, and i love to share it! just ask :D

i knit occasionally; i have a couple projects on the needles right now, a baby blanket for my niece and a sock!

i like to be supportive for friends, but i'm also bad with words so i speak in faves and emotes >_>

fill the internet with love today

leave the world with more love in it than when you started

@QuietMisdreavus knitting is cool! I am jealous of anyone who has the patience to knit socks :3 (I mostly crochet 'cos I make toys... have kinda forgotten how to make up knitting patterns now)
@bentosmile hehe, thanks! honestly, the sock (i finished one of the pair already) was one of the more boring projects i've done. i got so used to lacy patterns with interesting stitches to break up the monotony that "knit all around" for 100 rounds got kinda draining -_-
@bentosmile crochet is cool, tho! i haven't picked it up myself, but someone at the knitting group i go to has made some really cool stuff
@QuietMisdreavus crochet is really strange at the start, if you come to it from knitting. 'cos you have to get used to finding the stitches (and it's a bit more difficult to tell the wrong side from the right side too. o_O; ) It took me a few goes before I could really see where the stitches were, and where to thread the hook properly... but now, wow I can whip up a scarf really fast!
@bentosmile that's cool! yeah, i'm so used to having all the active stitches on the needles that i'm concerned i'd get lost with the hook >_>
@QuietMisdreavus it's ok XD eventually you can see the stitches, and then it's like the matrix! except with yarn and not with freezing time and shooting guns and stuff.
