Damn. I can't believe it took me this long to realize I could just invoke the migrations from the REPL, instead of launching migratus through lein on the console. It's so much faster when actively making changes. lein's/Clojure's startup time just kills you there.

It's so easy to just fall into a pattern with whatever way you first access a tool.
