DistroJunkieI've got 3 people under my roof attending a local institution of higher learning and they must use windows on campus because of the IT Dept policies of the school. One would think that colleges and universities would be hotbeds of Linux activity. So I, being the IT Dept. under my roof must deal with windows. Windows10 rots.
oswriter@DistroJunkie Could be worse. I've seen computers at my nearby institution of higher learning still using Windows XP.
Lawrence Ott@DistroJunkie There are only a few colleges that have adopted Linux, and their adoption of it is limited to specific areas of study. I can only begin imagine what each institution spends on technical support, for the deployment of their Microsoft products, plus the direct cost of licensing. Cut this out, and the colleges might see savings of 5~15% in their IT budget. 🤔
