Proposal: We should add a disclaimer to the DiEM25 Facebook page (as a pinned post) stating that we are using a surveillance-based platform monopoly under protest to reach people we might not otherwise be able to reach in the short-term. This is what we do with the Better (https://better.fyi/) Facebook page (see screenshot).

For more info on our pragmatic approach to using current platforms, see: https://ar.al/notes/spyware-vs-spyware/

Thoughts?

@aral Have you thought of this as a transitionary measure @paulfree14 @nitram
@aral @nitram @douginamug
I'm in favour of using fb and co without supporting the status quo. Which is a bit tricky.
First you'll need to understand why it's satus quo and how you're part of maintaining it.
within fb it's the content and the masses on ppl using it.
so just don't create value for fb.
means: only share informations in a way it supports ppl leaving fb and that the information isn't brining any value to fb.
@douginamug @nitram
I did that and proposed that for the yunity fb. I got kicked out of my admin rights for doing so.
(just one of a couple reason I stoped engaging with this yunity network thing...it's already toxic and haven't even scaled yet.)
@paulfree14 @nitram sorry you had that experience. I've been thinking about how I identify with yunity recently. Not made my mind up yet
