Proposal: We should add a disclaimer to the DiEM25 Facebook page (as a pinned post) stating that we are using a surveillance-based platform monopoly under protest to reach people we might not otherwise be able to reach in the short-term. This is what we do with the Better (https://better.fyi/) Facebook page (see screenshot).

For more info on our pragmatic approach to using current platforms, see: https://ar.al/notes/spyware-vs-spyware/

Thoughts?

@aral It is probably better to use "DISCLAIMER: We do not support the use of Facebook, here's why: <insert link>"

Directly opposing Facebook may lead to a warning or ban depending on the users reaction.

@miwilc If they're daft enough to do that and thereby stifle the illusion of freedom of speech on their platform themselves, then that would be newsworthy and make our case for us. I would love to see them muzzle a political movement for criticising them. That would be headline news.

At DiEM25, the last thing we should be worried about is pissing off Facebook, Inc. or any other corporation.
