@aral just a heads up for supporting internal democracy in your e-mail conversation on the validation of the working group for the 7th pillar.

An interesting issue, which needs to be discussed, is actually the apparent "democracy vs. reputation" contrast. Increased democracy, in some cases, seems to clash with reputation needs (we had similar discussions before with DiD).

@Wessel_Dublin @aral Clash with privacy needs too. One of Yanis' advisors on banking regulation was a mid-level banker who saw that what they were doing was wrong and wanted the state to step in. However, revealing his participation in the drafting of banking regulation would have lost his job, which he couldn't afford. I think that we should evaluate all policy proposals based on content and not whether they came from an video game nerd or a professor. And ditto in politics: content over names.
