I might start using #hubzilla a bit more.

hubzilla is a federated cms. (#wiki, #forum, #webpage, #chat....)

But the best part is that it comes with #nomadicidentity.
Which means you are not bond an instance.
You can travel around instances and always take your friends and followers with you.

By that no admin will have the power of breaking the connection between you and followers. All the power is in your hands.

@paulfree14 imagine if we had that for mastodon. Probably hard on the servers, I'd imagine they need a list of all users in the fediverse plus identification keys...

@pinkprius as I understood they only need to store the identification keys. the protocol is called #zot.
developer of #postActive a #gnusocial fork @[email protected] is thinking of integrating nomadic identity somewhen.
by that it should get also into mastodon as it's also #ostatus based
