Updated https://joinmastodon.org/ with:

- how it works section
- sponsors section
- branding section (but press kit link goes nowhere)
- fuzzy search on the instance list

I'm not sure what to put into the press kit. Especially since the logo might get updated very soon...
@Gargron maybe something about how to refer to the project? As in don't call it mastodon.social, call it mastodon?
@Gargron A docker image for running a Mastodon instance? :P
@Gargron for the press kit...
- a short bio of yourself?
- a section about the core developer team
- some graphs (live?) about the development of instances
- the philosophy of / idea behind mastodon
- the openess of mastodon for other social networks
- the 'members' 'federation' spirit of respect and open friendly communication
- the colourful community and home for often hurt 'minorities' from all over the world welcome on mastodon
- contrast of self/state regulating harassment
@vilbi i thought the press kit would be a ZIP archive with logos and stuff, not text
@Gargron @vilbi but somehow you should deliver more background from our insight perspective of mastodon. It is critical to leave that to the quick and often unreflective (time pressure) press. If you offer some kernal text, you will see it in the articles....
@Gargron my sugestion is to make it a bit wider, to transport the spirit of the living community. The 'cold' technic is one side of the network, the people using it as their social network is the other and more important side!
@Gargron You can do a press kit with each new version: press kit v1.4.3, press kit v1.4.4, press kit v1.4.7 ...
@Gargron still think "server of Mastodon" reads way better as "Mastodon server"
@Gargron Looks great, although I still not understand why you don't add a link to the instance picker wizard too.
@Gargron Why don't you put some parallax effect ? Seem to be the mainstream technique to present a new technology these days...
@Roland Because my design department is me, lol
@Gargron Okaay i get it Lol 😆 . If you have time and a good knowledge of html and css you can take a look at html5up.net and do some customizations (That's what i do with my front pages)
@Gargron Ps: The pawoo.net frontpage with livetoots is awesome (i saw your link yesterday)
