oatmeal@ekis also, is it really the case? #GLM and #deepseek show open weights models are on par for most use cases. They’re also self-hostsable on private or national infrastructure by design. Hopefully the only customers #Anthropic and #OpenAI and #Google will have is the USA government. I think that’s already the case with shitty #Grok which I don’t think many use otherwise.
