@VeroniqueB99 how does it compare to it though honestly like in service and timing, quality etc i am curious
@colombiaorc In terms of quality of healthcare it's western medicine, it's all the same... after that...🤷‍♀️
@VeroniqueB99 @colombiaorc
Wrong!
In the US, healthcare is overpriced and underperforms.
If you're rich, you get the best healthcare, if you're not, good luck to you.
The UK has *some* issues with waiting times, for some afflictions, but they've been cutting costs for decades.
Here in the Netherlands, some hospitals have waiting times for some procedures. Most insurers have a service where they will ask you whether you're willing to travel up to *20 minutes* further to be helped immediately.
@MennoWolff @colombiaorc Yeah... there are subtle differences in service, I was talking about the actual medicine. Which is the same. Access otoh is a different story. And the US bases 100% of everything on $$$.🤷‍♀️
@VeroniqueB99 @colombiaorc
Right. I thought he were arguing that there's hardly any difference in effectiveness between the US and the rest. In some countries people have to wait for some procedures, making them uncomfortable. In the US, people die while waiting for approval from the insurance.
Here's the infamous graph showing the ineffectiveness of healthcare in the US.
Things started going south in the 70's
@VeroniqueB99 @colombiaorc
Sorry. It's really the '80s when it got shittier. It was Reagan.
