Solar Activity Report June 25, 2026

@appagalcrochet Thanks for the heads up! Looks like cloudy/rainy conditions here going into the weekend, but I’ll try to get a photo if the weather gives me a break.🤞🏽
@bluejay Same here. Don't forget that early July 4th EDT about 4:40AM Mars and Uranus will be in conjunction so Mars will make for an excellent marker to find Uranus if you are like me and have issues locating.

@appagalcrochet Ooh, thank you! I hate that two of my favorite activities, stargazing and sleeping, so often conflict with each other.😂 If I miss the conjunction I look forward to your pictures!

Also, do I have it right that the sun takes roughly 25 days to rotate, so roughly 12 days to view features emerging on one side before they disappear on the other side? I’d love to catch these sunspots but may not get a clear view until next week — hopefully they’ll still be visible then.

@bluejay Yes, 25 days to make a complete rotation at equator. Near the poles it takes roughly 35 days for a complete rotation.
