Hey in case you missed it!

I’m currently working on my very first illustration on iPad, and here is my progress so far

If you want to learn about why I had no choice but to switch gear, I tell the whole story in my newsletter!

@NIGHTEN wow!!! Great work!
@heavyimage Thank you!! :) I’m excited to finish this one
@[email protected] it's interesting that it's noticeably distinct in style. Difference in pen sensitivity or something?

@addison Oh that’s incredible that you noticed it!

I think first of all the brush size might be different than my other illustrations, I normally always use the same one; plus the line “smoothing” is a bit more aggressive on Procreate than my config on desktop. Also, I didn’t had my usual color palette, so the colors are a bit off compared compared to the usual :)

@NIGHTEN It was interesting to read this! I similarly had only used my computer to draw and was pretty much sticking to Clip Studio Paint for many years. I knew other people were using iPads for drawing but I never thought it would work for me as I'm so used to the computer and my keyboard being accessible for shortcuts. But then I finally tried it after a lot of hesitation and it's my daily driver now. Less friction is so real...

@sylcr Thank you, I’m happy you enjoyed reading about my experience! :)

Did you notice any difference in your art style while changing tools? That’s the thing that worried me at first, but apart from not having my usual measurement and color palette my style is simple enough that I didn’t had too many issues

@NIGHTEN During the adjustment period I did feel that my style was slightly different at first. I'm not sure if it actually was though, since I struggle with consistency so it's hard to tell for me haha
