I feel like someone should develop "Vampire routing" mode more widely. We need trees and building heights recorded more comprehensively in #OpenStreetMap

@milh0use The main limitation would be field elevation data quality/availability.
@JauneBaguette there are approximations though aren't there? Many buildings have the numbers of storeys stored in OSM, and some people have been adding street trees to OSM. It only needs to be probability based selection of routes?
@milh0use The original study was more accurate as it used Lidar data. But sure, in an ideal world, a full OSM based routing would be great. In my vincinity those are details still lacking.
