In the #Netherlands we have dedicated bike streets where #cars are guest 😸

I'm so impressed with biking in NL. Cyclists don't even have to ring their bells constantly as bikes rule the road and aren't threatened every minute.
They can but there are so many bike paths that cyclists don't feel constantly threatened the way we do in other places like Canada. I noticed cyclists don't ring bells much in NL. At least in Maastricht. In Toronto, I'd be ringing my bell constantly as our bike lanes are beside parked cars (if they exist at all) and I'm worried about getting doored. I only rented a bike to ride one day in Maastricht but felt so safe in comparison. I'm glad I got to experience the Dutch biking culture even a little bit.
@chu Yea I get your point. There were protests in the 70ies by cyclists in the Netherlands to demand safer streets for cycling.
