I don't know of a more clear example of Democratic elites' contempt for Democratic voters than a 74-year-old senator from a very blue state voting more for Trump's agenda than any other Senate Democrat - and then refusing to show up to even one debate with his primary opponent as a recent poll suggests the race is tightening.
