On our first trip to Iceland, we found this Berliner Weiße.

While it is fermented with a Skyr culture and brewed with geothermal energy and could hardly be more icelandish, I had the hypothesis that this light, spritzy and tart beer with strong notes of woodruff and some alluring fermentation naughtyness would be perfect for a continental European heatwave. So we brought two carriers of this stuff to verify that hypothesis.

What can I say? I was right. 😋 🍻

Ölverk has great pizza too. If you are in Iceland and want to check out only one craft brewery I strongly recommend this one.

"...to verify that hypothesis."

Now to be good science you need to demonstrate repeatability.

@wannabemystiker We are already planning the next trip so I will definitely repeat this to get my findings past beer review.

Pardon, I meant peer review... 😆

@brudibrau @wannabemystiker are you sure you don't mean peer rebrew? 🙃
@knead_i_say_more @wannabemystiker Don't make me look for Skyr cultures and pistachios 😆
