It was just pointed out to me that the entire printing industry and much of the media production industry are structurally dependent on Adobe, meaning that by deploying content-sensitive tooling restrictions - like the one Ashley demonstrates - Adobe has effectively announced that they have the right to a unilateral, systemic veto on what images can or cannot be published at all.

@mhoye yep, when I worked for a newspaper it was all Adobe. From the photographers through to the print centre. And this was a major metro newspaper

This is the thing I'm most scared of in tech.

@mhoye makes me thankful that I still have PhotoShop 3.5 on CD media that I could install in a Windows VM or Wine. 😆
