Live In Hope

and from this pile of dirt
mixed with the dregs of
human toxicity
new life sprouted
young and full of hope
stretching up towards the sky
feeling the warmth of sun
eager to breathe and grow
without regard
for the disdain and doubt
to hinder its progress
