I thought Dog Day Afternoon (on Broadway) was just great: the dialog, the acting, the obligatory Brooklyn '72 references (Beefsteak Charlie, Crazy Eddie). The accents were pretty perfect. I was even impressed by the blocking, which was well choreographed and thought-through. Ignore negative reviews.
