Multispectral imaging has restored the Cotton Genesis - and our @universalviewer team has applied IIIF-based functionality to enable switching between the visible light, ultraviolet and infrared images of a single folio in the same canvas. Very exciting!

I had idly wondered (yet shamefully never read up on) whether/how multispectral images work in IIIF, what the viewer needs to do etc.

Any chance that the IR/UV layers could be made translucent instead of a full switch?
