@quincy the #Unicode Standard has stability guarantees about some things, but not about all things. If a mistake is not subject to a stability guarantee, it can possibly be fixed.

Among things that cannot be fixed because of stability guarantees are the names of the characters. Still, corrections have been documented as formal name aliases in the NameAliases.txt file in the #Unicode Character Database.

Also, the Unicode Technical Note called "Known Anomalies in Unicode Character Names" hasn't been updated since two years ago; I did submit a report to the UTC, but to no avail...
