Does Amazon sell water? I heard that may soon be a luxury, weak biological things that people are.
Jeff Bezos hates this one weird, money saving trick!
@iamnotU @maxleibman I have no car but chose decades ago to live in a walkable neighbourhood. I am old AF and still walk to the store for granola bars and the like (I don't drink coffee).
I order some stuff for delivery, but usually it's bulky or heavy things, or things that are hard to find locally. And even then I rarely buy from Amazon. If it's a good product that is well-made there are other sources, and if it's cheap-ass crap I probably don't need it.
If you're trapped carless in a sprawly North American suburb I feel for you. I'm just pointing out that there are other options, albeit requiring long-term planning and sometimes some compromise. I don't have a huge back yard, and I have neighbours that talk to me. Not everyone likes to live like that, and that's OK.
@oclsc you don't have to feel for me. i chose to sell my car rather than pay for all the expenses that came with something i don't need. if i had a car and drove to the nearest stores i'd pay 2 or 3x what i pay on amzn, so i do what's best for myself rather than what's not in Jeff Bezos' interest. my prime card gives off more in rewards than the prime membership cost.
i do live in suburbia, did when i sold my car. i don't feel trapped. lived here 28 yrs. i too have neighbors that can talk.
@maxleibman More like Amazon Crime Day!
Cause Amazon essentially steals from local and small businesses and flips their prices, all while refusing to give said small businesses their fair share.
Somehow I don't think 'prime day' is about prime numbers at all. That is disappointing.
