Today marks the 50th anniversary of Logan's Run, released on 23 June 1976.

My strongest memory of the film is that, back in the 1970s, I owned a very truncated Super 8 version which I used to show to my friends on a projector. It proved remarkably popular thanks to one scene featuring Jenny Agutter shedding her clothes. What can I say? We were schoolboys!

Fifty years later, I still think the film stands up remarkably well.

@Doctor_Roo As a youngling I saw films with Jenny Agutter where all she seemed to do was get naked, so I wondered if that was all she did 😀

@Doctor_Roo I still really like it as a film. Despite some of the shlock, inherent to a lot of films of the time, it still has an impact today.

I agree. Logan's Run sits comfortably in my personal list of all-time favourite science-fiction films. I think the film stands up remarkably well fifty years later.
