I'm about to do my lentil dhal/chicken dhansak mashup and I'll describe it here for my own reference because it's a pain to look at both recipes each time. Serves about 12-14 portions

Ingredients:

4 tbsp olive oil
4 onions peeled and finely chopped
chicken breasts chopped into large chunks (about 1kg)
2 tbsp curry powder
4 tsp turmeric
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp hot chilli powder
2 tsp ground fenugreek
1 tsp salt
6 garlic cloves minced
2 tsp minced ginger
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp honey
500ml thick cream
400 g red lentils
800 ml plum peeled tomatoes
1l chicken stock (two chicken stock cubes, 1 veg)

Just added batched chilli con carne to my culinary repertoire. Had it with rice and a dash of (homemade, naturellement) yogurt this time, but might try tortillas with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and guacamole next time. Seems more heatwave appropriate.

About 30g of protein per serving.

The kidney beans have a decent amount of prebiotics.

Chilli con carne recipe

This great chilli recipe has to be one of the best dishes to serve to friends for a casual get-together. An easy sharing favourite that uses up storecupboard ingredients.

Good Food
Going to need to up my tortilla-rolling game.
If your burrito won't roll up, just call it a taco and keep eating. :-)

@us3r1d Is that how it works? My mexican culinary skills are sadly lacking 🤪
