Dang, #KDEPlasma has been treating me very well lately.  At this current rate, I might even become a fan boi

@jlw_the_jobber I've jumped on the KDE train as well. With how I use the desktop environment with the OS and all the little integrations, it's been marvelous. Gnome is great for the simple things, but I have a workhouse of a laptop and KDE keeps up with that.

Nice background too ;)

@clayton Thank you!

I like that you can make Plasma as elaborate or minimal as you want. By allowing me to play around with a task bar, I can have one bar instead of a bar and dock that is the general rule for vanilla Gnome. I also like the fact that I do not have to hunt for plugins to add in basic features that KDE provides straight out of the box.

The main thing that was holding me back on Gnome was the hot corner to pull up my virtual windows. That has become second nature to me. I like Gnome’s implementation of that the most, but Plasma’s is just like MacOS which works for me (thats my main non-foss OS I frequently use).
@jlw_the_jobber @clayton Same. Gnome's overview is what I miss the most. Its design and implementation are both near perfect. But Plasma lets you get close enough to it that it's not too bad of a trade-off.
