* I made this :greenheart: in Signal and copied it over here since my emojis are gone here for some days now and apparently I cannot get them back. Tried Chromium a minute ago and that does not work either. Very strange...

@mvg @SolSoCoG it has to be something about the mastodon update to 4.6.0 and I already reported it and my friend on another server experiences the same.

It's no longer possible to "type" the emoji and select from the list, the only option is to copy it or use the emoji icon and hope for the best 😀

Ah, an update, some emojis are still there, for example the flags are possible to trigger by typing :germ (it will offer the :flag:_germany: 🇩🇪 as the first one. But smileys? :-) does nothing :smil does trigger the menu for emojis starting with :smiling_face (like in the image). Might be some kind of change of how emoji search work? Or a removal of "old" smileys typed like back in the SMS days? 😆
