The only - ONLY - card the EU holds in the accelerating global AI arms race is #ASML in the Netherlands. As much as I like #Mistral and as much as I think the EU #AIact is better legislation than what others are doing in this area - none of that really matters for what is happening in terms of geopolitics. ASML is the single real card, but it is a very powerful card.

And if that card was American or Chinese, both governments would have nationalized it as classified military technology. I hope the #EU is taking this extremely seriously.
