Cadbury chocolate-owner Mondelez defends staying in Russia

Mondelez boss Dirk Van de Put says it was the "right decision" to remain after the war with Ukraine.

Boycott Mondelez

๐Ÿ‘‰The next time you go shopping, show them that staying in russia will hurt them much more than leaving ever would. ๐Ÿ‘ˆ

@EugeneMcParland "admitted he is "not pleased" the firm's taxes are funding the war with #Ukraine "
Not pleased about the taxes but loving the profits.

I can't imagine how the family of those killed feel.. I imagine some what more than just "not pleased"..

Oh and I stopped bying anything to do with kraft and it's subs since it reneged on it's pledge when taking over Cadburys.

@EugeneMcParland I've seen a couple of companies make this argument about the jobs of their workers in Russia. The same companies never seem to give that much of a shit about jobs when they close factories down for economic reasons but they could prove their bona fides by donating all of their profits in Russia to charity.

@liamdv4 @EugeneMcParland exactly! they use any excuse to stay in Russia. it's not about the jobs. look at Ritter Sport now firing the same number they said they couldn't fire when they said they had to keep supplying Russian forces.

@EugeneMcParland The fun part is if we don't buy cadbury, none of our money will go to Russia's war effort. Thanks for the info, Mondelez CEO!
@EugeneMcParland
"Not pleased" = empty platitude
@EugeneMcParland Oh dear, he's 'not pleased'. But not displeased enough to just pull out of Russia? Because maybe, share prices, bonus payments?
