WIRED

@newsguyusa it's notable that some prominent centrist Democrats are on the list, like Cory Booker and Jared Polis. Other interesting names include Ezra Klein, Kaja Kallas, Larry Summers, and more.

@jamesmarshall @newsguyusa I'm curious where you found that; I see no reference to them or a link to the full list in the Wired article

@banderkat @newsguyusa I just edited my post to give my source. It's a post from @skykiss who sourced it from a bluesky post by the person who told WIRED; they say it's visible in the web page's source code (including on the Wayback Machine), but I didn't verify that.

It's indeed interesting that the WIRED article didn't mention the Democrats on the list.

@jamesmarshall @banderkat @newsguyusa @skykiss

Just clicked the newly edited source list... it's gone now. Shows "The page you are looking for isn't here"

@CynthesisToday the bluesky link? It still works for me.

@jamesmarshall

uh, this is the link in an upstream post of yours:

No visible bluesky link in the timeline I see

@CynthesisToday hmm, don't know why skykiss' post doesn't show up for you; it still works for me, and all three of us are on the same instance.

Here's the bluesky post skykiss links to:

@jamesmarshall

Thanks. That took care of the problem

@banderkat @jamesmarshall @newsguyusa you had to use the developer tools inspector to see the css and there were a bunch of <div tags with the names.

@banderkat @jamesmarshall @newsguyusa

Go to the page, look at it with that right click tooly thing that used to be "show source", click on the .js files and scroll all the way down, it's hard coded or at least it was yesterday.

@jamesmarshall @newsguyusa @amyfou
Holy crap. One of my elementary school-high school classmates is on that list. 😬
@firefly wow! Are you sure it's not just someone else with the same name, or does the description match up too?
@jamesmarshall Nope, it’s him. Kept up with him through alumni info and know his business. It makes me want to vomit.
@jamesmarshall @newsguyusa Jared Polis is not a centrist. He's a DINO through and through with deep ties to oil&gas, and has long been a traitor to the party that elected him. He's running from his current position this year because of being censored by the DNC and discussions of impeachment. Keep an eye on what he does next, I'm sure it will be something to help him get richer.
@jamesmarshall What is Joseph Gordon Levitt up to?
@jeremiah @jamesmarshall he’s into the whole effective altruism crap so I’m guessing that’s his angle here
@purplelotus13 Ah gross. I didn't realize he as an EA guy.
@jamesmarshall @newsguyusa
Well that finally answers the question of who Cory Booker is working for. It's been pretty obvious for a while that it isn't the people he represents.
