Made a London pattern handle in rowan for an old chisel found at a flea market. Made without a lathe, because remember kids; using the proper tool for the job is cheating!

It is a bit wonky, but I am still rather pleased with the result.

Jokes aside, it looks great! I'd love to make that kind of handle too.

Thanks! Planed it square(-ish) in section first, marked out the diameter with a compass and then planed of the corners to make it octagonal. Then shaped with a knife and cleaned up with files and sandpaper.

Interesting! He uses a jig and a chisel to form it. I did it with a slöjd knife holding it with my hands.
