@UnclePJ Especially the older varities. The new ones aren't as fragrant, I've noticed.

@DoomsdaysCW Ill take your word for it. I’m only a smeller of flowers, it’s APJ that grows them. We have one that just bloomed that has a lovely scent.😊

@UnclePJ Yeah, I'm discovering that about peonies and lilacs. The newer varieties aren't as strong smelling, so I've been keeping the "golden oldies" going. I managed to get two more lilac bushes going from cuttings, and their blooms are just as good as the mother tree. I'm hoping to divide up / move one of the peonies that isn't getting enough light.

@DoomsdaysCW I’m assuming the peonies have seeds? I didn’t know you grew lilacs from cuttings… that’s pretty darn cool. If I asked APJ about it, I’m sure she’d know. We have a young lilac and it smells pretty amazing! Don’t know it it’s old or new or even what variety it is. I’ll have to ask.
