what if the real reason for the social media ban is so that young people can't make friends internationally and thus don't find out that things are better elsewhere, or that Other Opinions also exist.

@nuwagaba2 well no, but it's currently a very easy and accessible way, that you don't need to try very hard to deliberately seek out

That's amazing, am also from Uganda . Without social media, that wouldn't have become a reality. Ending communication among young people despite their location is part of controlling them indirectly. I just don't know how they were convinced that this is a good thing to do.

i think the politicians in this country like the idea of controlling all access to information, and they know that an informed youth is a danger to their power.

That's right. However, am also happy to have interacted with you .
Unfortunately, many people fail to realise how their freedom is slowly being robbed away and so they do nothing about it until they become victims . What can possibly open their eyes?
