I just spent way too long try to figure out why the heck the audio playing on my iPhone was also playing on my Mac, even though no AirPlay was connected or anything…

...only to eventually realize I left it open and connected in Device Hub.

I even rebooted the phone, and it re-connected in Device Hub in the background.
