'Lessons learned' over LGBT youth event at #Exeter Library - BBC News

This is incredibly sad and I suspect the "lesson learned" was that #SexEducation stalls are more effort than they're worth for public services. There's obviously a massive amount of #homophobia behind this, but given the Epstein revelations I am now deeply suspicious of any politicians who don't want young people educated enough about sex to potentially know what's being done to them.

'Lessons learned' over LGBT youth event at Exeter Library

Devon County Council says sex education objects do not constitute a safeguarding incident.

BBC News
@afewbugs of course it's a Reform councillor leading the charge. Anyone who conflates sex education with sexualisation is a safeguarding risk.
@afewbugs Safeguarding from ignorant Reform authoritarians required …

@afewbugs it would be useful to have some images from the event in the coverage, otherwise no one reading it can make an informed judgement.

Were the staff teaching positions? The cowboy? Reverse cowboy?

I'm being silly, of course.

I suspect this is covert homophobia, pure and simple. But what a shame for everyone who tried to do something good for young people.

I remember "sex ed" at school when I was asked to describe female masturbation (um, gay boy here). And I seem to remember a very sweaty video in biology about human reproduction.

Fairly sure that wasn't outlawed....
