Rebecca Hall

English actress, director, producer has received several nominations for her acting roles including for her performances in the BBC series Parade's End + the 2009 film Vicky Christina Barcelona. She was also recognized for her directorial debut with Passing, based on the 1929 by Nella Larsen. Hall wrote the screenplay which was inspired by her own mixed-race heritage, and her African-American ancestors who passed as white. Her great-grandfather John William Ewing, had been born into slavery. After the American Civil War, he became a prominent figure in the black community of Washington, D.C.

I recently admired her performance in Peter Hujar's Day in which she plays writer Linda Rosenkrantz. She is absolutely One To Watch
