@simon_brooke Sigh. OK, I'll be the one to point out that this is incredibly base. All peoples are warlike and violent at times; saying that Jews are uniquely so is antisemitic. Also, claiming that some kooky etymological idea based on two names for made-up things thousands of years ago reveals the true evil nature of the Jewish people is a concerning level of warped thinking. Please reread what you wrote and consider whether it makes any sense.

@spiegelmama I didn't say anything at all about Jews. Most Jews are not Israeli. I also didn't say anything at all about 'uniquely'.

@spiegelmama I'd also say that, probably, the majority of people now living are descendants of pretty appalling warrior cultures, for the simple reason that, during the iron age (and later — right up to the present day) such cultures have slaughtered, enslaved and looted more peaceable peoples everywhere.

My own ancestors worshipped Odin and Thor, and if you want truly bloodthirsty warrior gods, look no further.

It's not to the shame of the #Jews that they are descendants of such people...
